What's New Wednesday!

When the dog days of August hit us, working with cotton comes to mind.
NEW - Avalon by Cascade:
In 50% cotton / 50% acrylic, Avalon is perfect for summer projects.
Lots more colors at the shop--come and see.

Cotton also comes in thread, usually used for crochet.
Did you know crochet cotton can be used for knitting, too?
We have crochet cotton in sizes No. 10 and No. 30.
Carol knit this pretty doily using No. 30 DMC Cordonnet Cotton.

Alexandra Baldwin, the namesake of Alexandra's Crafts,
is one of the many talented hand-dye artists whose yarn we carry.
She's known for her bright color combinations in fingering to worsted wt.
Here's the gorgeous sock yarn she dyed exclusively for us in Tangled Purls' shop colors:
Alexandra's Crafts - a name to remember.  Come and see for yourself.

We are partnering with the Salem Assistance League Auxillary volunteers
as a donation site for its school supply drive this summer.
