TNNA 2015

Vivian and Marie just returned from five days in Columbus, Ohio -- soaking up fiber inspiration at TNNA (The National NeedleArts Association) Convention 2015. Here are some of our highlights!
We met Mary-Heather and Sarah from Ravelry (they were awesome and very helpful!) and (bottom right) Vivian posed for a photo during her baby hat project with Donna at Deep South Fibers. We fueled ourselves with coffee and pastries and enjoyed some amazing fiber displays, including the giant ball of yarn with needles at the Colinette display!

We were excited to sit with Maridee and Barbra from Yarnover Truck! We loved hearing about their mobile fiber business in Southern California, and we learned that Barbra (who works for Disney Studios) was the model for the knitting scenes for Rapunzel in the animated movie Tangled, and for Kanga in the movie Pooh -- how cool is that?

We {heart} designers! We were so excited to meet Ysolda Teague, Andrea Rangel and Carina Spencer -- they were lovely! Don't you just love that vintage bicycle? We also had a chance to chat with Pam Powers, Heather Zoppeti, Amy Herzog, Toby Roxane and so many other wonderful, creative people!

Madelinetosh was just one of the many wonderful fiber booths we visited and drooled over. We loved spending time with Malabrigo, Manos, The Fibre Company, Knitted Wit, and so many others (including some new ones we won't be telling you about just yet -- stay tuned)! We came home with tons of awesome ideas to share with you!
We really enjoyed visiting with Heidi from Pepperberry Knits (her cashmere bundles are some of our favorites), and had a chance to catch up with Michele from PDXKnitterati (whom you might remember as a recent guest designer at Tangled Purls). No trip is complete without the PDX Carpet cameo!

Stay tuned as we bring some of the new ideas and products from TNNA to the shop!
